The Documents page
Every document the case holds in one list, with what each one is, where it stands, and the controls to file, tag and download it.
Open a case and choose Documents. It lists every document the case holds: the ones the run matched to a requirement, the ranges it matched to nothing, and documents filed under earlier runs.
Two views
- All documents is one list: Priority documents first, then the rest in page order. Archived pages come last, dimmed.
- By file shows each uploaded file as a folder, with the documents found inside it.
Search matches a document's name or its file's name.
The header counts what the case holds, for example "40 documents · 12 need review · 6 unassigned".
| Count | What it counts |
|---|---|
| documents | Every document, not counting archived pages. |
| need review | Documents the run matched to a requirement that nobody has decided yet. |
| unassigned | Ranges the run matched to nothing that nobody has filed or kept yet. |

[first page] deed-of-trust.pdf NEEDS REVIEW
17 pages · Suggested: Grant Deed (recorded) Approve ⋯ tag download
- The first page, as a thumbnail. Hover over it to see the page larger without opening anything.
- The title: the document's own name, as the run read it.
- Its tags, after the title: needs review, unassigned, in edit, Priority, Excluded or archived. Hover over a tag to see what it means.
- The page count: "17 pages" counts the document's own pages. Hover over it to see where they sit in the uploaded file, such as "Pages 12–28 of the uploaded file".
- The second line: where the document stands. See how filing works.
- The controls, on the right:
- Approve and ⋯ file the document. They show only until someone decides. See file a document.
- The tag icon: Priority, Exclude from Research, Archive and Clear tag. See tags and archive.
- Download: the document's saved copy as a PDF. Before anyone decides, it is the copy the run saved as it read the pages.
A document's title or thumbnail opens it in Doc Review, on its first page.
